ABOUT

I’m Ignacia Hofmann, a Chilean art director with 15 years of experience working closely with directors and production teams.

I develop visual direction, concepts and written treatments that build clear cinematic frameworks for film and commercial projects. I also work in a consultancy role in early-stage development, helping shape core ideas, define narrative perspectives and support the creative process from the beginning.

My approach is hands-on, collaborative and attentive. I work closely with teams in a way that is both professional and caring, focusing on clarity, trust and creative alignment.

My practice is grounded in visual thinking, writing and research—building narratives through references, composition and sequencing rather than isolated images. I use illustration, AI and other tools as part of the process, always in support of authorship and not as a replacement for it.

Alongside this, I maintain a personal painting practice exploring the relationships between nature, technology and consumer culture, and how these tensions shape contemporary visual language.

Happy to connect and hear what you’re working on!
